ANTONIO LEPORE


Antonio Lepore, PhD, serves as Associate Professor of Statistics for Technological and Experimental Research (SECS-S/02) in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II (UNINA). He is Board member of the MSc program in Mathematical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Management, Transportation Engineering and Management. His research interests focus on the use of statistical methods for analyzing and monitoring functional data aimed at interpreting complex data from high-frequency multi-sensor data acquisition systems. He is the recipient of funding from University Federico II for competitive projects in the teaching innovation project F.E.D.E.R.I.C.O with the course proposal Statistical Methods for Real Data Analysis (2020) and the program FRA with the project titled Functional Data Analysis for Traffic Operations (2021-2023). He is author of 26 peer-reviewed articles published in major international journals indexed on Scopus with 214 citations. He is author of 3 chapters published on collective books. He is author of 23 peer-reviewed papers in conference proceedings. He is developer of 4 R packages. He is invited speaker of 8 presentations and co-author of more than 30 invited/contributed presentations at international conferences and workshops. He is currently guest editor of Quality and Reliability Engineering International (Wiley) ENBIS 2021 Special issue. He is a member of the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics (ENBIS); the International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics (ISBIS); Quality, Statistics and Reliability (QSR) group of INFORMS; Società Italiana di Statistica (SIS).
