SQUARE Lab promotes the formulation and the implementation of statistical methodologies in the field of experimental sciences and engineering, in particular. The main activities of the laboratory include: the design and the reliability evaluation of complex systems; the optimization and monitoring of production systems (of goods and services); the development of protocols for the experimental detection and the analysis of subjective evaluations; the stochastic modeling of environmental phenomena for the development of renewable energy; the development of diagnostic systems for the stochastic prediction and optimization of indices for energy efficiency.
The use of statistical methodologies in these fields catalyzes the knowledgeprocess and allows a full and mature sharing of competences (statistical and technological) necessary for continuous improvement in order to achieve valuable innovations in economic, technical and environmental terms.
