STANISLAO GRAZIOSO


Stanislao Grazioso is Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Naples Federico II (UNINA). He is the Team Leader of UNINA for the BIOIC (Bioinspired soft robotic systems for cognitive production) project, a research project related to the biological transformation of manufacturing through the use of soft robotic technologies. His research interests include bio-inspired design, human-centric design, modeling and simulation of nonlinear mechanical systems, model-based planning and control of soft robots, bio and soft-mechatronics, innovative prototyping techniques for soft mechatronic systems. He has co-authored more than 20 journal papers and 30 conference papers/book chapters. He is co-inventor of 6 patent-pending applications. He is co-funder of 4 UNINA Spin-off companies. He is the recipient of several awards in the research and technology transfer activities, including the 2019 Georges Giralt PhD Award for the best European thesis in robotics in the year 2019, and the 2019 and 2021 editions of Start Cup Campania, for the best technology transfer projects born from University in the Campania Region. He is member of ADM, ASME, IEEE and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.
