ANDREA ZOPPOLI


Andrea Zoppoli is PhD Student in Fusion Science and Engineering (Cycle XXXVI), PhD Programme jointly run by University of Padua and University of Naples Federico II (UNINA). He is graduated in the Master’s degree programme in Mechanical Engineering for Industrial Design and Production at University of Naples Federico II (UNINA). He is former trainee at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) of Geneva, Switzerland. He is involved in the design and development of the Remote Handling Test and Training facility for the upcoming first Italian fusion reactor DTT, as part of his PhD research activities. His research interests include: design and development of mechanical and mechatronics systems, from requirements management and CAD modeling up to FEM validation and manufacturing; mechatronics and robotics; advanced techniques for robot tele-operation (Virtual and Augmented Reality systems). He is first author of 1 journal paper and co-author of 1 conference poster published on the journal Fusion Engineering and Design. He is In-House Consultant for the Mechanical Team of CREATE Consortium of Naples.
