ALESSANDRO SOFIA
Alessandro Sofia is a PhD student in the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Naples Federico II (UNINA). He is working in the NEFERTARI project (New Equipment For Fusion Experimental Research & Technologies), for the development of robotic manipulators for inspection and maintenance of the experimental fusion device RFX-mod2. His research interests include modelling, simulation and control of flexible robots, digital twin, design of control architecture for complex systems. He is involved in Herobots (Spinoff of UNINA), for the research on robotics for hazardous environments, through which he participated to the LongOps project, a research project for the development of Enhanced Control of Flexible Long Reach Manipulators. He has co-authored 1 journal paper, 3 conference papers/book chapters.
