ROBERTO SABELLA

Roberto Sabella is a PhD Student in the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Naples Federico II (UNINA). He is involved in UNINA for the BIOIC (Bioinspired soft robotic systems for cognitive production) project, a research project related to the biological transformation of manufacturing through the use of soft robotic technologies.  Moreover, he is involved in ETA Bioengineering (accredited spin-off of UNINA) for the realization of a Soft Exoskeleton for (under-actuated) Upper-limb assistance for workers and injuried people. Moreover, he is involved in HEROBOTS s.r.l. (accredited spin-off of UNINA) for the research on continuum robots for remote applications. His research interests include bio-inspired and human-centric design, model-based planning of soft robots, innovative control techniques for continuum and soft robots, bio and soft-mechatronics, integration of multiple complex systems, innovative prototyping techniques for soft mechatronic systems. He has co-authored 3 conference papers/chapters. He is co-inventor of 1 patent-pending applications. He is involved in 2 UNINA Spin-off companies.
