GIUSEPPE SANSEVERINO


Giuseppe Sanseverino is a Research Associate and Lecturer at the Professorship for Human and Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology (Germany). He is an elected member of the Executive Committee of the International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA) and chair of its Outreach Committee. His research interests includes motion tracking, wearable technologies, multibody modelling. His doctoral dissertation introduces a virtual testing framework that optimizes wearable sensor networks without the need for extensive user studies. Additionally, he contributes to sports engineering by studying wearable sensor networks for sports performance monitoring and addressing hand-arm vibrations induced by road profiles. He has co-authored more than 20 peer reviewed publications (4 journals, 15 conference/book chapters, 1 edited book). His master thesis was awarded with the first prize of the “Premio ADM 2021”, he achieved the third place in the ISEA student competition 2020. In 2023 he was awarded the Best Paper Award in the 1st International Conference on Hybrid Societies.
